About the Click2Quit Plan
What is the Click2Quit Stop Smoking Plan?
The Click2Quit Stop Smoking Plan is a comprehensive programme aimed at the behavioural aspects of smoking. At the same time, Nicabate® helps through the process of quitting by helping to reduce your physical dependence on nicotine. However, each attempt to stop smoking also means changing your own behavioural patterns and habits. Nicabate®, together with the Plan, can make it easier for you to become a non-smoker.
The Click2Quit Stop Smoking Plan is designed – in combination with Nicabate® – to help you give up smoking, using proven techniques to help break your smoking habits.
Giving up smoking is not easy, but your pharmacist, your doctor, the people close to you, the Click2Quit Stop Smoking Plan and Nicabate® can help you succeed.
Your responses to the questionnaire allow conclusions to be drawn as to how your smoking habits are affecting your health. After you have completed the questionnaire and submitted it for processing, our system generates results that are tailored to your smoking profile. This information is used to draw up your Click2Quit Stop Smoking Plan. This guide provides many benefits and contains, among other things, information on your smoking profile. This shows why you want to quit and what obstacles you must overcome before you can become a non-smoker. You will also receive additional support in the form of e-mails and newsletters throughout the duration of the programme.
How long does it take to complete the questionnaire?
It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
What happens if I don't answer a question?
There are some mandatory questions in the questionnaire which must be answered for the tailoring process to work. The remaining questions can be left out. But remember, we can only draw up a Plan for you if we have your complete profile. The less information we have, the less use your plan will be. All the information we receive from you is treated in strict confidence. It is therefore in your own interest to answer the questions completely and as honestly as possible.
How much does the Click2Quit Stop Smoking Plan cost?
GlaxoSmithKline offers the Click2Quit Stop Smoking Plan free of charge.
How can I be sure that no one will see my results?
GlaxoSmithKline will, of course, treat all answers in confidence and will not pass any information on to third parties. For further details see our Click2Quit Data protection policy.
How long will the Click2Quit Stop Smoking Plan be available online?
You will have access to your Plan for 15 weeks after you enrol and send back the completed questionnaire. After this your Plan will be destroyed.

When will my documents be ready and where can I find them?

Within 24 hours of sending your answers you will receive an e-mail message informing you that your plan is ready to retrieve. Just click on the web address in the message to access the Click2Quit website. To access your Plan, enter your user name and password and then click on the link in the column on the left, Click2Quit Stop Smoking Plan. You then select the option, Your Personalised Guide, from the same column.
You will be informed by e-mail when the newsletters are ready, in the same way as with the Plan. Again, just click on the web address in the message text, enter your user name and password on the log-on page of the Click2Quit Stop Smoking Plan and then click on the link to the newsletters.
You will receive further support e-mails containing useful information. Thus you need visit the Click2Quit Stop Smoking website only when you want to read your Plan or the newsletters again. We recommend that you read the support documents regularly, to provide additional support whilst you are quitting.
Why are my results different from other people's?
Everyone has different needs with regards to a healthy lifestyle. You should therefore have access to information which is tailored as closely as possible to the needs of your individual profile. It can often be difficult to find the information you want on a healthier lifestyle in books or general brochures. This is exactly where the Plan comes in. The information in the guide and the newsletters matches your smoking profile, taking into account your age group, your incentives and barriers, and your motivations for quitting. You can therefore expect to receive information which will be particularly useful in helping you give up smoking for good.
What should I do with the documents once I have read them?
You can print out a copy and think about what habits you should change. We also recommend that you talk to your pharmacist or doctor. They may know of methods and techniques which can provide additional assistance in quitting.
The results I received did NOT meet my expectations.
The Plan and newsletters match your smoking profile. Keep an open mind about the information, it may be more applicable than you think. Of course, the contents of the documents are only as good as the answers you have given in the questionnaire. If the information you receive from us seems to be incorrect, you may have inadvertently selected a wrong answer somewhere. If there are major discrepancies in the documents we send you, write to us so that we can make the necessary corrections or improvements. Please note you need to be logged on to the system in order to do this.
