Quitting with Nicabate® Patches

So, another week’s passed. I had a good week this week. Got up to a lot of different things and have generally felt pretty fantastic. I feel like I’m coming to the end of my journey and am feeling pretty well on top of it.

I really didn’t have much stress at all except for on Thursday morning. I had a late start and went to grab a coffee on the way in. I put the large latte in my cup holder and the whole thing ended up in the bottom of my car as I drove off. I mopped it all up in a bit of huff and went back to the café to get another. I was a bit a worked up and it was a bit strange… I was thinking a cigarette would really calm me down. I got over it and walked back to the car… to find radiator fluid dripping into a large puddle under my car!  That was it. The tears started flowing. I got myself to work and was fine for most of the day but made sure I got over that feeling of wanting a cigarette. It could be so easy to give in so I just powered through. It’s what you’ve got to do!

Another embarrassing moment was when I forgot to put my patch on on Wednesday. I had exercised before work and was going to change my patch when I arrived… but I didn’t have a spare one on me. Luckily, everyone at work was happy for me to race home and grab one. They all laughed and said, oh quick you better go, we don’t want you turning into a green-eyed monster. But, thankfully, we managed to avoid that!

And I can’t believe it’s step-down again next Monday. I’ve tried not to think about it too much but I can’t believe how close I’m getting to the end of the programme! I can’t believe it’s been two months. It’s had its ups and downs but when I feel good I feel really, really good, and there haven’t been many low points. Not this week anyway! So, yeah, feeling good and looking forward to the home straight. Ok, bye!
