Quitting with Nicabate® Patches

How many cigarettes do you smoke a day?

Diary

Quitting with Nicabate® Lozenges

I'm really excited - in a few days time I'm going to be a non-smoker. In the back of my mind though, I'm also a little scared - mostly of failing. People talk about the symptoms that come with giving up smoking, like lack of sleep, but things like that don't worry me, the only thing that does is the thought that I may lose the plot.

I thin the hardest part will be breaking the cycle of when I usually have my first cigarette - I've already thought a bit about this, and I think I've worked out the best way to get around it. I'm going to completely change my morning routine - I think that will help a lot, particularly during the first week.

I also know that I'll need to be particularly careful around certain girlfriends, the ones I usually smoke with. I think the best thing for me to do, will be to not see them for the first few weeks, until I get comfortable with not smoking. Friends are friends for life though, and I know that they're supporting me, so I guess I'll just be speaking to them on the phone more than usual for the time being.

Along with  the support of my friends and family, I also swapped numbers with some of the other quitters at the Nicabate get together the other night. I think this is really important, because these people will actually know what I'm going through - we'll be going through it together, so it's an extra support network that's going to be important in getting through this.
