Cravings can pop up unexpectedly, regardless of the time of day or where you happen to be. Nicabate® Mint Gum offers convenient on-the-spot help to manage cravings that pop up during your day. The gum is also easy to carry wherever you go, so you're always prepared.

If you're not ready to give up smoking straight away you can use Nicabate® Mint Gum to help you cut down the number of cigarettes you smoke first. The 'reduce to quit' approach allows your body to get used to fewer cigarettes as you get used to the idea of quitting. By using Nicabate® Mint Gum to manage your cravings you should start to gradually reduce the number of cigarettes you smoke until you are completely smoke free.

If you smoke 20 or more cigarettes a day you'll need Nicabate® 4mg Mint Gum. If you smoke less than 20 cigarettes a day, use Nicabate® 2mg Mint Gum. Just chew 1 gum whenever you have the urge to smoke. You will need to chew the gum slowly until taste becomes strong (this should take about 1 minute) and then park the gum against your cheek until the taste has faded (this should take about 1 minute). Keep chewing like this for about half an hour and then dispose of the gum once the gum has lost its strong taste.

If you are using Nicabate 4mg Mint Gum you should use a maximum of 10 pieces per day; if you are using Nicabate 2mg Mint Gum you should use a maximum of 20 pieces per day. Carefully read the pack if you are unsure.

It's fine to use Nicabate® Mint Gum for up to nine months while you quit.
